Aim
Holders of the STA Level 2 Award in Aquatic Teaching- People with Disabilities can teach aquatic activities to individuals and groups with disabilities.
Pre-requisites
18 years of age or older.
Current membership of STA.
Holder of STA STC


Validity of Award
This qualification does not expire.
Length of Course
48 Notional Learning Hours comprising:
24 contact Guided Learning Hours.
24 non contact Guided Learning Hours
Course Information Units studied include:
Planning, preparing and teaching People with Disabilities swimming.
People with Disabilities
Assessment
Candidates must complete a portfolio and worksheet questions to the satisfaction of the course tutor as well as undertaking at least 30 minutes poolside teaching during the course.

Complete a 30 question multiple choice question paper with a unit pass mark of 11 out of 15 per unit
Revalidation
This qualification does not require revalidation. However, STA recommends all members attend or complete CPOs to continuously update their knowledge and skills.
